ARTIST STATEMENT
How my “Story” began…………………
As a teenager I loved taking jewelry and art classes. I had a wonderful high school art teacher who inspired me to pursue it as a profession. I also was blessed with two wonderful parents who supported me through art school. I attended Center for Creative studies in Detroit Michigan and received my BFA in metal and jewelry.
From the very start I knew that one day I would create my own designs that represented my own personal style. It is from this point that I developed my skills and created ‘Simple and Elegant” designs in jewelry.
My designs are simple, but also very bold with an architectural look to them. I use gold and silver in my work in such a way that it represents the metals true quality, fine reflective surfaces, crisp edges, and structural harmony. I combine precious metals with beautiful colored stones to enhance each piece. Each piece has its own sense of balance. This represents my creative philosophy. Balance and simplicity are my daily influences.
As each day goes by, I am truly blessed to do what I LOVE! I hope that my jewelry brings you as much JOY as it has for me!
And so the “Story” goes on…………………………………………………
